We are passionate about Film and Media for Impact

We are a Not-for-profit organization established in 2011 for the impact of nonfiction films/ media in India and about India. We are committed to grow the documentary climate of India and establish an environment that will educate and inspire people to support films for change.
We are the leaders in introducing documentary film to the story of change in the country. We believe that art inspires and motivates action.

Good Pitch Deccan

The second local edition of Good Pitch was also its first completely virtual edition that took place in August 2021. Bringing in stories from the Deccan region, this edition was dedicated to gender justice and equity. Organisations, mediamakers and changemakers came together to focus on gender-related issues such as identity, caste intersectionality, disability, menstrual health, safety, stereotyping, and sexual consent, resulting in new perspectives, partnerships, and solutions in a two-day event.

Good Pitch India 2020

With the same mission as the global Good Pitch program, we bring together documentary filmmakers with leading changemakers around urgent social issues to forge new coalitions that are good for the films, and good for society.

Good Pitch Karnataka

It’s not only the filmmakers who get the spotlight, but also activists and organizers who can envision film and media as aids to achieving their missions. It is the building of communities around people who care about the same stories from different perspectives - whose work can complement each other’s and double efforts to achieve shared goals.

IMPACT LABS

The Impact Labs are at the very heart of the Good Pitch programme. A four day immersive workshop where selected filmmakers pour over case studies and dissect effective strategies for using independent documentary film as a tool for social or environmental change.

Working with the Good Pitch Outreach team the selected filmmakers imagine how their film could be put to the service of movements and reach audiences that matter.

PODCAST

#WhyHateLove

#WhyHateLove is a podcast to educate teens, parents, and teachers on the concepts and identities on the sexuality/gender spectrums. The approach is a PG-13, love-positive one, using real stories from the LGBTQIA+ community.

ECO LENS

Good Pitch India’s ECO LENS program has been created by the Indian Documentary Foundation, and will be held in collaboration with our friends at Internews , Earth Journalism Network , and Earth Day Network. This unique virtual event will be held over two days with ½ day sessions on November 9 and 10, 2020, where 100+ climate justice activists, media-makers, changemakers, environmentalists, scholars, policy experts, and corporates will come together. Participants will witness climate stories from our Good Pitch editions, and hear from lawyers, interfaith speakers, authors, funders, and environment experts. The three main films to be showcased at the forum include Coral Woman, Tale of a River and Jack Journeys.
